The Spa 1000km winning Porsche 917K of Redman and Siffert Original Study Painting by John Ketchell
The race is famed for the start and the two similar Porsche 917's of Siffert and Rodriguez banging wheels going into Eau Rouge, with Siffert coming out best.... The race set a record for the fastest ever road race in history, and the record would be broken twice more in successive years at the same circuit; and the eventual record stood for decades.
